The Wonderous World Of Coconut Oil & Giveaway!!!

Have you ever tried coconut oil before?  For anything?  I never really used it until I had my daughter.  We cloth diapered her when she was little and there were very few things you could use on her little tushie due to this.  One of the useable items for sore bums was coconut oil!  That began my fascination with it.

Just a few of the uses are:
cooking - it has a high smoke point so it is excellent in stir-fry's!
FABULOUS rub on lotion for dry skin
ingredient in  lip balms
use a drop in your hair to help with frizz (just a LITTLE bit!!)
add it to your daily smoothies!

There seriously are hundreds of uses for the product.

With my love growing I searched around for the prefect oil and I think I FINALLY found one.

Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut Oil

I was given the chance through the company to try this oil, and I must say, they made a new customer.

Some coconut oils that I have tried in the past just had an odd smell.  Not what you would expect coconut oil to smell like.  This oil smells JUST like coconuts.  If it wasn't a big jar of oil, I would want to just get a spoon and chow down.  It smelled THAT good when I opened it.

Now.  Coconut oil is a solid, but not a solid-solid if that makes sense at all.   If coconut oil is in a temperature OVER 76degrees F it will be liquid.  Under 76 and it is a solid.  Neat huh?  Another cool thing?  It does NOT need to be refrigerated!  I keep mine on the counter right near the stove.  That way it is easily assessable.  You do want to keep it out of direct sunlight though!

Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil uses a more natural way of extracting the coconut oil from the coconut.   The wife,
Marianita, in the company grew up in the Philipines on a coconut plantation.  Tropical Traditions keeps with the same methods that the  older generation used.   "To extract the oil by grating the fresh coconut, extracting the coconut milk, and then letting the coconut milk stand in a covered container for about 24 hours. After about 24 hours, the oil naturally separates from the water producing a crystal clear oil that retains the full scent and taste of coconuts."

This way REALLY does make a difference.  They have a new exclusive user.  Would you like to try some?  Tropical Traditions has allowed me to give away to one lucky reader in the US OR Canada a FREE QUART of their Virgin Coconut oil!!!
